From the Baltimore Sun, May 25, 1972:

Funeral services for Otis Dewlin, retired architect, will be conducted at 11 A. M. today at the Henry W. Jenkins funeral establishment, 4905 York road.

Mr. Dewlin died Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital after a brief illness. He was 83.

He graduated from the Maryland Institute during the early 1900's and was associated with several local architectural firms over the years. His last position was with the firm of Taylor and Fisher where he worked for 10 years until his retirement in 1968.

Mr. Dewlin participated in the design of what is now called the Maryland National Bank Building, at Light and Baltimore streets. He also designed and planned many homes in the Guilford area of the city during his career.

In addition to his professional activities, Mr. Dewlin was an instructor at the Maryland Institute for 19 years. He resigned from the staff in 1932.

Mr. Dewlin was a life member of the American Institute of Architects and the Oldtimer's Club of Lauraville and the Waverly Lodge No. 152, of the Masons.
