Undertaker, World War Veteran, Dies At Age of 46

Monday, June 22, 1942 Trenton Evening Times

Leo M. Ullrich, World War veteran and well known Trenton funeral director, died this afternoon at his home, 425 Greenwood Avenue. He was 46 years old on March 26, last.

Ullrich returned from France suffering form the effects of the war and his physician said his death was brought on by that condition.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Messerschmitt Ullrich; five children, William 17, who was graduated this year from Central High School, and Joanne, 15: Robert, 12; Helene, nine, and John Karl, four; his father, Frank J. Ullrich, four sisters, Mrs. Paul Seiler, Mrs. John Eisenbach and Mrs. John Fowler, all of Trenton and Mrs. Joseph Reeves, of Detroit. His mother was the late Mrs. Mary Ullrich.

Ullrich had been associated with his father in the funeral directing for many years at 47 Fountain Avenue. He moved to Greenwood Avenue in March.
