Bert Leroy Wallerich, 68, of Huffman passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in Kingwood. He was born January 8, 1942 in Fairfield, Iowa to parents Elmer Ray and Emma Mae Ingle Wallerich, had lived in Huffman, Texas since 1991 and was previously of Davenport, Iowa. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Wallerich was a member of the Labors Union #309 and the Methodist Church. He enjoyed horses, fishing, mowing, his garden and will be missed by his special little dog.
Services for Mr. Wallerich will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be 11:00 to 1:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.
Mr. Wallerich was predeceased by his parents, his son: Bert L. Wallerich, Jr., his sisters: Susan Wallerich, Sandra Mumm, and his brother: Gary Wallerich. Survivors include his wife of 42 years: Dianna K. Hundley Wallerich of Huffman, Texas; sons: Tom Wallerich and wife Ana of Cleveland, Randy L. Wallerich and wife Sheryl of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, & Scott Wallerich and wife Pearl of Quitman, Texas; his daughter: Christine Perin & husband Mike of Melissa, Texas; brothers: Elmer Wallerich and wife Helen of Polaski, Iowa, David Wallerich of Davenport, Iowa, and Kerry "Butch" Wallerich & wife Linda of Rock Island, Illinois; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
