Merton Frederick Morgan, age 83, passed away on Friday evening, August 25, 1989, at the Heritage Nursing Home in Wisconsin Rapids.

He was born on May 17, 1906, in Adams County, WI to Fred and Charlotte Morgan. He married Clara Hummel on November 16, 1931, in Adams, WI. They farmed in Grand Marsh, WI. She passed away in 1967. He continued to live on the farm until 1984 when he went into the nursing home.

He is survived by three sons, Frederick of Sun Prairie, Howard of Smyrna, TN, and Daniel of Wisconsin Dells; three daughters, Nancy Marsh of Wisconsin Rapids, Lola Wilson of Wisconsin Rapids, and Maureen Holden of Marshfield; two sisters, Edna Wagner of Grand Marsh and Bernice Donnelly of Wisconsin Dells; 25 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Grand Marsh United Church Of Christ at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 1989. Burial will follow In the Easton Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 1989, at the Roseberry Funeral Home in Friendship.
