A lifelong resident of the Asheville area, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Gertrude Mainer Fisher. A resident of Blue Ridge Health Care Center for the past three years, she had many friends there and loved them dearly. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Annie Lee McGraw, Easter Jane Taylor and Virginia Moore and three brothers, Leejess, James and Wade Otto Fisher.
Surviving are a sister, Dorothy Fisher Martin and her husband, Richard, of Hendersonville and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held at the Mainer Family Cemetery in Reems Creek. The Rev. Jim Moore officiated.
Penland & Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Swannanoa is assisting the Southerland family.
