Fred Parkhurst
Funeral services for Fred E. Parkhurst, age 82 of Nashville will be conducted at 1:00pm, Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation with the family will be from 10am Monday until service time at Manchester Funeral Home. Mr Parkhurst passed away Saturday, April 3 at the Alive Hospice at St. Thomas in Nashville.
Mr. Parkhurst was born in Nashville, Tennessee the son of the late Andrew Daniel Parkhurst and Lillie Mae Deering Parkhurst. He was a member of the Belmont Heights Baptist Church in Nashville and was a US Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Parkhurst was the former owner and operator of Cayce Transfer Company in Nashville. His survivors are:
1 son- Wayne Parkhurst of Hillsboro, Tn
2 brothers- Jerry Parkhurst of Colorado
John Parkhurst of Gallatin, Tn
1 sister- Kathleen Pardue of Florida
Several nieces and nephews.
