She graduated from Lapel High School.
Katherine was a member of the First Christian Church in Noblesville and had been active in Missions in the Fortville Christian Church at one time.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four husbands, Charles Rash, Lewis Barrett, Clarence DeVaney and Samuel Jerrell; one brother, John Males; and two sisters, Esther Smith and Minnie Alice White.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main St., Lapel, officiated by Pastor John Davis
Entombment took place in Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
