Frederick's mother was ELIZABETH WHEELER, b. 28 Nov, 1830, Jefferson County, NY, d. 07 Jun, 1916, Lake Crystal, Blue Earth County, MN.

Frederick married ELVIRA DORWARD, 29 Jun, 1905, Cottage Grove, Lane County, OR. She was born 03 Feb, 1880, Belvidere, Monona County, IA, d. 03 Jan, 1960, Oak Harbor, Island County, WA. Her parents were GEORGE ANDREWS DORWARD, and, ELLEN MOUNTAIN. To this union, 8 children were born: CONSTANCE, JEAN, MENZO, FREDERICK, ELIZABETH, HELEN, ROBERT, and, BRUCE.

Elvira's parents, along with her brother George Howard Dorward, their infant daughter Helen Wheeler, their sons Frederick V. Wheeler, Jr., and Robert Dorward Wheeler, and their infant twin grandsons, Scott & Steven, are also buried at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Oak Harbor, Island County, WA.
