MRS. LULU BONEBRAKE

Lulu Kirton, daughter of John and Josephine Kirton, was born in Marion county, Iowa, on Nov. 24, 1867, and passed away at her home in Melcher on Feb. 5, 1943, after a lingering illness of 16 months.

She was converted when quite young and was a member of the United Brethren church at Newbern.

She was united in marriage to George Bonebrake at Newbern on Feb. 26, 1891. To this union seven children were born, two of whom, Clyde and Lela, passed away a number of years ago. Mr. Bonebrake preceded her in death October 2, 1935.

Those left to mourn her passing are her three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Duckworth, of St. James, Mo.; Mrs. Fern Holmes, of Promise City, Iowa; Mrs. Cora Bartholomew, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two sons, John, of Virgil, S. D., and Noah, of Parrington, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Nancy Haskins, of Des Moines, one brother, Jeff Kirton, of Booneville, 35 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and other relatives and a host of friends and neighbors.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Feb. 8 at the Flanagan funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Braland, and burial was in the Newbern cemetery.
