Mr. Bender, a retired farmer, was found dead Tuesday afternoon in his apartment.
Born at Whiting, Kan., he came to Panhandle in 1903. He was a veteran of World Wars I and II.
Survivors include a brother, M.L., and two sisters, Mrs. Etta Harrington and Mrs. Elma Lee Dills, all of Panhandle.
