PANHANDLE - Funeral services for Wilmer Ware Bender, 72, of Panhandle, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Poston Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. James Todd, pastor of the First Christian Church of Claude, will officiate. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery.
Mr. Bender, a retired farmer, was found dead Tuesday afternoon in his apartment.
Born at Whiting, Kan., he came to Panhandle in 1903. He was a veteran of World Wars I and II.
Survivors include a brother, M.L., and two sisters, Mrs. Etta Harrington and Mrs. Elma Lee Dills, all of Panhandle.
