Mrs. Anna Stambaugh, 78, died Saturday, Feb 17, in Highland Regional Medical Center at Prestonsburg.
Mrs. Stambaugh was born Sep 7, 1900 in Magoffin County, daughter of Floyd and Pearlie Penix Sellards.
She was a resident of Sitka and a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Her husband,George Stambaugh, preceded her in death in 1973.
Surviving are a son Gordon Ray Stambaugh of Sitka,seven daughters,Ethel Broce,Harrodsburg, Avenell Slone,Betty Ramey and Georgie Davis, Sitka;Dorothy Stambaugh,Barnetts Creek,Edna Salyers,Coal Grove,OH and Jean Osborne,Columbus; three half-brothers,Raleigh Sellards, Chesapeake,OH, Jim Penix and Sam Penix of FL;
36 grandchildren,73 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb 20, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Castle officiating.
Burial was in Stambaugh Cemetery, Sitka, with Jones-Preston Funeral Home handling arrangements.
