Timothy Ronald Hogan, 45, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010, in Arlington.
Celebration of life: 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Arlington Board of Realtors conference center, 3916 W. I-20, Arlington.
Memorials: Donations may be made in Tim's name to the Humane Society of North Texas or to the charity of your choice.
Timothy was born May 8, 1964, in Albany and was raised in Arlington. Acting was one of Timothy's many talents and theater was his passion. After graduating from Bowie High School in 1982 Timothy attended SMU working towards his BFA in theater. During this time he met many of his longtime friends while working in small theater productions in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In 1988 Timothy moved to Houston to work in repertory at Theatre Under the Stars. During this time Timothy toured twice with the national companies of "Mame" with Juliet Prowse. Timothy fulfilled a longtime dream of touring North America and Europe as a cast member in a production of "Evita." After suffering a debilitating injury on stage, Timothy's theater career ended and his new life began in Minnesota. While he was living in Minneapolis, Timothy worked as a call center supervisor, first for Marshall Fields and then for AT&T. Following a serious heart attack in 2008, after 15 years in Minnesota, Timothy moved back to Arlington to be closer to his family and friends who he referred to as his "support system."
Timothy loved life and lived it to the fullest. He adored his manx cat, Bobbie, which he doted on. He was thrilled to be back near his family so he could be "fun Uncle Crazy Pants" to his niece and nephews. Timothy was able to see the humor in any situation and made sure everyone else did too. His quips and witty remarks will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors: Mother, Dolores Hogan; father, Roy Hogan and wife, Debbie; brother, Chris Hogan and wife, Scheri; sister, Rachel Hogan Simmons and husband, Mark; stepsister, Marisa Payne and husband, Allen Payne, and their son, Grant; grandmother, Louise Mitchell Goins; nephews, Lars Hogan, Erik Hogan and Donovan Simmons; niece, Katie Simmons whom he often referred to as his "Katie-Whompus"; and many loving relatives and friends.
