Cecil Wayne Murphy, 78, of Norman Park, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.
Graveside rites will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with the Rev. Eddie Dee officiating.
Born Feb. 17, 1932, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Newton Murphy and Julie Knight Murphy.
He retired with the food service division of the State of Georgia and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by one son, Micah Murphy.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Evans Murphy of Norman Park; one son, Greg Murphy and wife Gail of Woodstock, Ga.; one daughter, Debbie Moxley and husband Jimmy of Moultrie; two sisters, Colleen Roach of Woodstock, Ga., and Shirley Mims of Moultrie; and one grandson, Shane Murphy of Woodstock, Ga.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb Funeral Chapel.
