Thomas Milton ‘Pete’ Skeeters was born 11 November 1880 in Vertrees, Hardin County, Kentucky to W. T. Skeeters and Sarah Jane Skeeters.

Pete married Ida Beverly Stader on 10 October 1912 in the Hardin County clerk’s office.

He passed away in his 84th year on 10 February 1965 in Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, Kentucky from pneumonia and cerebrovascual accident (stroke) and was buried 13 February 1965 in Vine Grove Cemetery, Vine Grove, Kentucky.

He was survived at his death by his wife, two sons, four daughters, two brothers, Ed of Louisville and Louis of Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren and two great grand children.

Pete’s funeral service was held at Vine Grove Baptist Church and the Rev. W. H. McGinnis was the officiant. The family entrusted Nelson Edelen Bennett Funeral Home with arrangements.
