Ralph Andersen, 14-year-old son of A.P. Andersen living over near Cadams, was drowned in the Republican river near Hardy, last Sunday afternoon. While in swimming with a number of other boys, young Andersen was caught in a whirlpool, and after being taken dwn (sic) twice he was taken out by some of his fellow bathers. Help was summoned but it reached the scene too late to resuscitate the boy.
