BERNICE C. BROADWATER

Bernice C. Broadwater, 78, 334 E. Hardin St., died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She had been ill for the past five weeks.

She was born November 9, 1901, in Findlay, to Brice and Edith (Gorrell) Lear. She married Luke H. Broadwater on August 3, 1927, and he died on January 27, 1949.

Surviving are a son, Donald E. of Vanlue; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Broadwater was the Patient Relations Director of Blanchard Valley Hospital before her retirement in 1968. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, the American Association of Retired People, and St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held at the church, the Rev. Sidney Davis officiated. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation was open for friends at Kirkpatrick Funeral Home.
