Carl Dean Belz
St. Ansgar-Carl Dean Belz,80,
of St. Ansgar died Thursday,
Feb. 18, 2010, at the
St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center.
A private family service will be
held at a later date.
Carl Dean was born
September 25, 1929,
in Worth County to
Lawrence & Ruth {Greiner}
Belz. He served in the Army
during the Korean War. He
married Glenda Blakestad on
March 10, 1967.
After being dischargd from the
Army he began farming and was in the poultry business for several years. His last job was driving
L.P. gas truck.
Carl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, having coffee with his friends, & playing cribbage & reading.
He is survived by his wife,
Glenda of St. Ansgar,
son, Shannon {Nikki} Belz
of Osage;
daughters, Holli {Scott}
Schweinfurth of Garner, and
Heidi {Chris} Jax
of Rose Creek, Minn.,
two sisters,
Evelyn Olson of
Ramsey, Minn., and
Slyvia Olson of
New Brighton, Minn.,
eight grandchildren.
Saylor, Gage, and Sadie Belz,
Abagail, Blake, and Cody
Schweinfurth, and
Taylor and Karter Jax.
Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home,
St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements.
