Father to 5 children: James Vol, Roger LeRoy, Linda Gayle, Ronald Franklin and Deborah Gaye.
A member of the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ
1st born to: William Winford Parsley and Lorena (Welch) Parsley.
He owned a sawmill in the 30's and worked for the WW2 war efforts by building airplanes at the Beechcraft plant in Wichita, Kansas. In 1947 he moved his family back to Springdale Arkansas to be the owner and operator of The Parsley Steam Laundry in Springdale. Many of his local customers were the hospital and Dentist offices.
Vol was baptized for remission of his sins in 1939 and was an elder for the church of Christ in the Springdale Arkansas (South Thompson and then it became the Robinson Avenue congregation) for many years.
His two sons spoke at Vol's Memorial Service to celebrate his long life in service to God.

Vol never had a middle name and his mother never had a middle name either. He was the 1st Volume! The oldest!
