Mrs. Lena C. (Prien) Stitz, 67, wife of Otto E. Stitz, well known blacksmith and business man of lower South street, died at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday at the family home, 411 Lingle avenue. She had been ill 12 years and critically four months.
Born near San Pierre, she was married there June 12, 1906, to Mr. Stitz, and had lived in Lafayette ever since. She was a member of St. James Lutheran church. Surviving are the husband; a son, Ervin O., of this city; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Stitz, Mrs. Albert Baumgardt and Miss Mathilda Prien, of this city, and Mrs. Herman Kruger, San Pierre; with two brothers, John and Henry Prien.
