Born in Lafayette, November 18, 1858, she was the daughter of Jacob and Maria Schmid. On July 29, 1877 she married Mr. Wegner, who died in 1930. Her husband was proprietor of the Wegner Wagon Works. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. Surviving are five daughters: Laura, Augusta and Minnie Wegner, at home; Mrs. Henry C. Prien and Mrs. Harold M. Crose, Lafayette; a son, August Wegner, Lafayette, also four sisters, Miss Minnie Schmid, Mrs. Hattie Morrison and Mrs. Henry Kamperman, Lafayette, and Mrs. John Geiger, Indianapolis, and a brother, John Schmid, Lafayette.
Friends may call at the residence after 6 p.m. Saturday. Services Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence and at 2:30 o'clock from St. James Lutheran Church; Rev. Herbert Petrich, of Reynolds, officiating. Burial, Spring Vale Cemetery. Soller and Baker, funeral directors.
