C. M. Brown Succumbs To Heart Disease
Charles Morton Brown, 82 years old, died of heart disease at 11:35 p.m. Monday at his home, 1122 West Sixth Street. He had been ill two months.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon at the United Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Brown was a retired farmer and was a native of Greene county, born there on June 1, 1863 to John Wesley Brown and Martha Raper Brown. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.
Surviving him are five daughters, Mrs. Zwingle Curry, Mrs. Jennie Russ, Mrs. Nellie Hamilton, Mrs. Elizabeth Harris and Mrs. Christina Fulford, all of this county; four sons, Will W., Morton, George and James R. Brown, of this county; three brothers, Joseph and John Brown of Monroe county and William of Illinois; a sister, Mrs. Ella Taylor of Illinois; 33 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. A grandson, Charles Robert Russ, was killed in action three years ago.

Rev. W. C. Chafin and Rev. Marshall DePoister will conduct the services for Mr. Brown. Burial will be in the U. P. cemetery and pallbearers will be Lawrence Brown, William Hamilton, Ira Russ, Gene Curry, William Harris and John Russ. The body will remain at 347 South Walker Street until the time of the services.
