Funeral services for Rodney Addison will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2010 at Family Life Church with Rev. Gordon Harper of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #42. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Gillette Memorial Chapel.

Rodney Addison, age 76, of Gillette passed away on Monday, April 5 2010 at Casper Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.Rod was born January 11 1934 the son of Russell & Dorothy (Greer) Addison.
He was raised in Gillette and spent summers on his grandparent's ranch south of Gillette, after graduating from high school in Rozet with the class of 1953,
Rod worked on a seismograph crew working in Wyoming, South Dakota and North Dakota. Rod enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in Iceland as an Airman 2nd class from 1954 until 1962.
Upon his honorable discharge he attended Sheridan College. In 1959, Rod married Myra Mae Kane of Gillette and with their two children: Rodney C. and Collie Jo, they moved to a ranch north of Gillette where they lived until his passing.
Rod was active in many community organizations specifically the Elks. He also served on many county boards and as a County Commissioner.
A lifelong rancher, he also worked at many companies in Gillette including: owning and operating the Flying J service Station, A&V Gas for Jerry Jasper, R & R Auto Supply and at Stockman's Bank, graduating from the Colorado School of Banking.
About 5 years ago Rod and his dog "Curley" found a little spot in Gonzales, Texas where they would spend about 5 weeks in the warm weather each year.
Rod enjoyed hunting, fishing and restoring antique tractors.
He and Myra were very active in furniture restoration and Rod was the "go-to" expert at the annual furniture refinishing class.



Rod is survived by his wife, Myra; son, Rodney C. (R. J.); granddaughter, Devan, all of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Collie Jo Addison of Sacramento California, and extended family.



He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy, stepfather Jerry Jasper, father Russell, sister Patty, and brother Max.



A memorial has been established benefiting the Gillette Elks Lodge #2825 building fund or the charity of one's choice. Memorials and condolences may be sent in Rod's name in care of Gillette Memorial Chapel, 210 W. Fifth Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716.
