Death of Mrs. S. McGladrey
On New Year's Day, Margaret McLelland, wife of the late Samuel McGladrey, passed away at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. Wm. Cooper, on the Guelph road.
Mrs. McGladrey was born in the County of Antrim, Ireland, on the 22nd of February 1835, and in 1847 came out to Canada with her father's family consisting of two daughters and seven sons, of whom only one, William McLelland of West Garafraxa, is now living.
The funeral, which was largely attended, left her old home, the residence of her son, Frank, on the 3rd Con. of Eramosa, for Johnston's Cemetery.
Death came as a joyful release to Mrs. McGladrey for she has been a sufferer for many years, but has borne her trials with unfaltering patience and Christian fortitude and her trust in God has been a blessing to her neighbours and family, who have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement.
