Edward T. Franceschini "Mr. Ed," age 65. Peacefully at home Tuesday, October 17, 2000 with his family by his side. Born in Chicago and a resident of Joliet since 1965.

Retired from Olin Chemical as a shift supervisor in 1990 following 13 years of service.

A United States Army Veteran.

Active member of St. Bernard Catholic Church serving his parish as Eucharistic Minister, lector and usher. Also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4400.

Loving husband of Mary "Sue" (nee Jenco) Franceschini of Joliet. Proud father of Mark (Julie) of Mokena, Lisa (Gary) Haines of Joliet, Tom (Mary) of Joliet and Steven (Deanna) Franceschini of Crest Hill. Proud "Papa" of seven grandchildren, Ashley, Dana, Jennifer, Lauren and Hannah Franceschini; Sara and Joshua Haines. Also survived by his mother, Esther Franceschini of Joliet, one brother Rev. Mark Franceschini of Hillside.

Preceded in death by his father, Pasquale Franceschini and siblings, Patricia, Donald, Leonard and Edward in infancy.

Funeral services for Edward T. Franceschini will be Monday, October 23, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Remains will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.

Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory to St. Bernard Catholic Church or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

Visitation Sunday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at: Fred C. Dames West Chapel, 3200 Black at Essington Rds.
