Obituary: "The Yuma Pioneer", Thursday August 21, 1958 - Yuma, Colorado:

Funeral service was held Monday afternoon, August 18 at the Morris Mortuary for Mrs. Lottie May King who died Friday, August 15. Rev. Willis Goettel had charge of the service. Interment was made in the Yuma Cemetery.

Lottie May Turner was born May 7, 1873 in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Mary Turner. She came to Trinidad, Colorado, at the age of 18 and married James S. King at Walsenburg June 13, 1901. To this union three sons were born, Sidney C. of Moscow, Idaho, Fred R. who preceded her in death on August 7, 1952, and Stanley M. of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Mrs. King came to Yuma in August, 1934. She will be remembered as a cafe operator in Yuma for about nine years prior to her retirement.
