ROCKTON - Robert C. Cummings, 72, of Rockton, dies Saturday, April 5, 1997, in Rockford Memorial Hospital Emergency room. Born June 12, 1924, in Chicago, son of John and Ethel Dobler Cummings. Married Margory Duhr on Nov. 15, 1947, in Madison, Wis. Graduated from Madison East High School. Employed at Buckheimer Leather Goods as a systems analyst, retiring in 1987. Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. avy. Survived by his wife; daughter, Janis (Thomas) Drummond of Rockton; sons Dennis (Jane) of West Allis, Wis., Richard of Waukesha, Wis., and David (Pamela) of Muskego, Wis.; grandchildren, Christine, Elizabeth, Brian, Sarah and Lucas Cummings, and Julie and Jill Drummond. ; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and brother, Donald W. Cummings.
Services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, in Old Stone Church. with Pastor Rodney M. Johnson officiating. Burial in Rockton Cemetery, with military rites. Visitation from 1 p.m. until service time in the church. Arrangements by Daley,-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, Wis. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. 4-7-2
