Funeral rites for Walter Clayton (Pete) Cooper, 70, of Narrows, Va., will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the First Methodist Church at Narrows.
The Rev. T.O. Willis will officiate. Internment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Cooper died Sunday in a Narrows nursing home.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Robertson Cooper; four daughters: Mrs. James Robertson and Mrs. Billy Lucas, of Narrows, Mrs. O.L. Henderson, Max Meadows, Va., and Miss Martha Cooper of Bluff City, Va.
Two sons, Jesse Cooper of Hartford, Conn., and Jimmy Cooper of Bluff City; and a step son, Danny Robertson stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejune, N.C.
Friends may call at A. Vest and Sons Funeral Home at White Gate, Va., and at the church one hour prior to service.
