Donald Ebsworth Riney, 75, Canton, Mo., died Sunday, January 27 in Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Ill. He was born on August 16, 1915 in Canton, the son of John Henry and Katheryn Veronica McGuire Riney. He married Mary Alice Wright on April 23, 1953 in Pocohantas, Ark. Survivors include his wife; sister, Mrs. Latham (Mary Margaret) Merrell of Canton and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother. Services were held on Wednesday, January 30, 1991 at the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Patrick, Mo. with the Rev. Robert A. Kurwicki officiating. Burial was held in the St. Patrick Cemetery. He was a lifelong resident of Clark County, Mo. and a farmer. He graduated from St. Patrick High School and retired from the St. Louis Die Casting CO. in Keokuk. He was a member of the Shrine of St. Patrick Church. The Davis Funeral Home of Canton was in charge of arrangements.
