Bob passed away April 3, 1996. He shook hands with the angels again and they finally said he could come home.
Born August 6, 1918 in Ephraim, Utah to Benjamin O. and Dorinda Dorius Carlston[0]. Married Marjorie Sears on February 25, 1943 in the Mesa LDS Temple. Bob spent his youth in Ephraim where he graduated from high school and attended Snow Jr. College. Active in basketball and played in the dance band. Served a mission to Norway and finished in the East Central States because of war. Served in the Navy, attached to the Marine Medical Corps during World War II. Attended BYU and University of Utah. In his early years, he worked in administration at the Utah State Prison.His later years were spent at First Interstate Bank as an Assistant Vice President. After retirement, worked as a tour guide on Temple Square as well as an ordinance worker at the Jordan River LDS Temple.
Survivors: wife, Marjorie; daughters, Karen Prisbrey (Blaine), Gunnison; Suzy Dudley (Roger), Orem; son, Kim Robert[0] Carlston[0] (Christine), Mesa, Arizona; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Rasmussen and Jeanne Winder; brother, Clifford.
Funeral services Saturday, April 6, 1996, at 12:30 p.m. in the Midvale East 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 89 East 7100 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 11:30 to time of service. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
