Clara was the daughter of Joseph Bonifield and Caroline Cupp Bonifield. She married Benton L. Barnhill in 1893 in MO. They had 6 children: Ruth M, Paul W., Mary T., Joseph Luke, Sarah C. and Russell J.. Clara was buried on 11-30-1933. Her death certificate states that she died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
