Wash was adjudicated insane by at least 1855. Nothing is known of his family after that date except for his possible location in the State Insane Asylum in 1870. Our Melinda Ann married Ransom Cass HOLLAND in 1872. W. C. ALLEN was appointed guardian of her minor children after 1887. This was William C. ALLEN, son of Niram A. ALLEN.
