Lucy was likely the daughter of Abner Benson [1749-1802] and his wife Experience Muxsom. At the time of Lucy's marriage to Elisha Bigelow in 1794 she was "of Hubbardston". Abner was the head of the Benson family of Hubbardston MA at that time and he just happens to have had a daughter born 16 Apr 1774 in Mendon MA. Lucy Benson Bigelow's gravestone puts her birth circa 1775 so the two Lucy Bensons are likely the same person.
