Clisham, Gertrude Jane (Gauss)
Gertrude Jane (Gauss) Clis-ham was born on September 10th, 1920 in the living room of her Ann Arbor home, and she passed away on Monday, April 5th at the Evangelical Home in Saline. Gert was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, James; her parents, Philip and Elizabeth; and brothers, Robert and Roland. Survivors include her special brother-in-law and devoted caregiver, Leon Hieber; sisters-in-law, Fredda Clisham, YeVonne Clisham; and many favorite nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends. Gert loved her life, her family, her home and her flowers. She will be greatly missed by all with whom she shared her energy, her innocence, her faith and her laughter. A memorial service to celebrate a life well lived, will be held at Bethlehem Cemetery in Ann Arbor, on Sunday, April 25th at 3 p.m. If you wish to make a memorial gift in Gert's name, please do so to a charity of your choice.
