SOLOMAN F BARNES--90: died Tuesday mor-ning [2-17] of infirmities of old age in Andover. He was born in Gustavus in Dec 1841. Mr Barnes was well-known in the south east part of the county because of more than a half century of life as a farmer in WilliamsfieldTwp. The Barnes farm was located east of the cntr of Williamsfield. He had alternately lived at the homes of various members of his family.
He leaves 6 children: Mrs Robison-Andovr; Mrs Hugh Mahan, Mrs Thomas Mahan, Mrs George Kauffman-all Greenville; Mrs Bert Mullen-New Castle; Guy Barnes-Andover. There are 8 grandchildren.
Service will be held Thursday afternoon [2-18] at the home of Guy Barnes-his son; conduct-ed by RevWilliam Harrison. The remains will be buried in ParkLawn Cem, beside the wife of the deceased.
