Yuba City, California, (U.P.) -- An 11-year-old Oai boy was electrocuted last night.
Police Chief Lewis Duncan said Richard C. Hatcher died when he touched the bumper of the family car while standing in a pool of water. Duncan said the car was charged with electricity from a short circuit in a 110-volt power line to which Hatchers' metal house trailer was connected.
The boy, who touched the car while chasing a baseball, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Hatcher of Oai.
