He was born Feb. 15, 1923, near Terre Haute, the son of John L. and Rose (Trimmer) Siner.
Rev. Siner attended Taylor University and Asbury College. He began his career in ministry at Upland during seminary and served churches throughout Indiana.
Churches he pastored include Elizabeth Methodist, Fletcher Place Methodist (Indianapolis), Arcadia (Neb.) Methodist, Heath Memorial Methodist, Anderson First Association, Peru Main St. and Lafayette Grace United Methodist.
Following his retirement, Rev. Siner served with Southern Indiana Conference of United Methodist Churches on an interim basis and with the First United Methodist Church of Bloomington, as well as several smaller Methodist churches.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Geraldine (Akers) Siner of Bloomington; one son, John Timothy Siner of Bloomington; two daughters, Kathy Siner of Indianapolis and Darla Siner of Bloomington; one granddaughter, Halley Siner of Indianapolis; two sisters, Rosetta Newton of Terre Haute and Shirley Ingram of Killeen, Texas; and three brothers, Danny Siner and Donald Siner, both of Terre Haute, and Robert Siner of Zephyrhills, Fla.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at the First United Methodist Church of Bloomington with the Revs. Michael Anderson and Leonard Sjogren officiating. Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday at Allen Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Endwright Flight Ministries, 921 San Crest Drive, Port Orange, FL 32127. Donations will be used for the Feed the Hungry Children and Orphans program of this ministry.
