Mrs. Louise Mills, age 93, of San Augustine. She entered into rest April 10, 2010, at the Memorial Hospital in San Augustine. She was born in San Augustine County on January 31, 1917, to Thad and Willie (Waddell) Ponder.
She retired from SAISD as a cafeteria cook. She attended Mt. Horeb Baptist Church in San Augustine County.
She is survived by her daughters Beverly Raines and husband Ewel of Carthage, Shirley Smith and husband Paul of San Augustine; sons Earnest "Punk" Mills and wife Eleanor of San Augustine, Elbert Mills and wife June of San Augustine, Cecil "Cowboy" Mills and wife Virginea Mills of Texas City, Thad Mills and wife Lenora of Gary; 17 Grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Mills, Sr.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2010, 2:00 P.M., at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Thad Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be in Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel Monday, April 12, 2010, 5:00 til 8:00 P.M.
