Funeral service for Juanita Lucy Peyton McCaslin, 84, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2006 in the Chapel of Sevier

Juanita Lucy Peyton McCaslin was born September 30, 1922 in Lincoln County near the town of Avery, Oklahoma the daughter of Elvus and Dora (Clayton) Peyton and died October 23, 2006 in Oklahoma City.

Juanita moved to Grady County in the Community of Amber with her parents in December of 1932. She went to Amber School and graduated in 1940.

She married Ray McCaslin on December 15, 1941. They lived south of Chickasha for a year then moved to the Amber Community in November of 1942 where they lived and raised their family. They had a dairy farm until Juanita went to work for Mr. Knight at the Tag Office in Chickasha in December of 1965. She worked there for 19 years.

After she quit working, she kept busy crocheting, embroidering, piecing and quilting. She also enjoyed singing "Happy Birthday" to her friends.

Juanita was preceded in death by: Parents: Elvus and Dora Peyton; one infant son: Bobby Wayne McCaslin; Her husband: Ray McCaslin; one grandchild: Johnnie Ray McCaslin; two sisters: Hazel Farrow and Gladys Mathes; two brothers: Orie Peyton and Sim Peyton;

Survivors include: one son and his wife: William Ray and Patricia McCaslin of Chickasha; one daughter and her husband: Joyce Linn and Darrell McDaniels of Warr Acres, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren: Kenneth Clark, Melony Green, Barbara Clark, Nancy Massey, William McCaslin, Jr., Larry McDaniels, April McDaniels, and Naomi Latimer; 8 great-grandchildren: Kelley McCracken, Cody McCracken, Chawnta Clark, Issac Clark, William McCaslin III, Brandon Massey, Lavelle Latimer and Ryan Latimer; Several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
