Leatrice Louise Anderson

Casper - Funeral services for Leatrice Louise Anderson, 73, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Paradise Valley Christian Church by pastors Al Allen and Larry Berlin. After the service, there will be a dinner for family and friends at the church. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.

Visitation is from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Wednesday at Bustard's.

She died Feb. 10, 2001, at Wyoming Medical Center.

She was born April 26, 1927 in Arcadia, Neb., the oldest child and only daughter of Samuel Benjamin and Mida Beatrice (Carver) Zlomke. She attended schools in several small Nebraska towns and graduated from high school in 1946 in Loop City, Neb.

She loved school and at a young age, began teaching at a small community school.

She married Robert L. Anderson and they moved to Casper in 1958. They were later divorced after 28 years of marriage.

She was employed at Albertson's until retiring in 1991 and continued to work part-time until her death.

She was strongly involved in the Rocky Mountain UCFW Union and with the Democratic Party for Senior Citizens.

She loved bridge, gardening, cooking and canning and will be most remembered for her work at Paradise Valley Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Michael J. and his wife of Challis, Idaho and Robert E. and his wife of Casper; one daughter, Becky Laib of Astoria, Ore.; two brothers, Dahlas Zlomke of Longmont, Colo. and Ronald Zlomke of Kingman, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Daryle Zlomke.

Memorials may be made to the Leatrice Anderson Memorial Fund and left with Bustards Funeral Home.
