He is survived by one daughter, Amy Abel Horn of Lenoir; five sisters, Norma Lindsey of Waynesville, Elizabeth Abel of Lenoir, Karen Sadler of Marion, VA, Darlene Abel of Lenoir, Kathy Hall and husband James of Adkins, VA; four brothers, Bill Abel and wife Linda of Lenoir, Steve Abel of Lenoir, Larry Abel of Marion, VA, Gary Abel of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Megan Horn, Brooklyn Horn, Kaitlin Horn; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
