Family has death date as Aug 13. Bow Valley Lutheran Church records show death as Aug 14 1891 and burial on Aug 15, 1891.

Jacob Holst immigrated with his wife and family from Denmark.
In July of 1885 Jacob and son Peter arrived from Elkhorn, NE in a prarie schooner, built a sod house and outbuildings on the farm Jacob had purchased near Havens PO in 1883. Later Jacob drove back after his other 2 sons and the rest of their belongings. It took him five days each way to make the trip. Mrs Holst (Cecelia Olaphima Henrietta Emerson) and their two daughters came by train to Hartington NE.
After Jacob died, his wife married Rasmus Petersen and they lived in Wausa, NE all their lives.
