WILLIAM A. OLSEN
William A. Olsen, 80, Hartington, died Monday, April 23 at Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge.
Services were conducted by Rev. Keith Holste at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hartington, Thursday, April 26, at 2 p.m. Burial was in Paragon Cemetery, Hartington. Pallbearers were Ronald Olsen, Gary Olsen, Daniel Heimes, Tim Jensen, LaVerle Heimes and Leonard Heimes.
Visitation was held Wednesday, April 25, at Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington from 1 - 9 p.m.
Olsen was born June 17, 1903 in Hartington, the son of Ferdinand and Maren O. Olsen. He was married to Alice Strathman on March 17, 1926, in Hartington.
He was a life long farmer in the Hartington area until retiring in 1968. He moved to the Park View Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge in 1975.
Surviving him are his wife, Alice; three sons, Duane, Elk Point, SD, LeRoy, Sioux City, and Franklin, Hartington; a daughter, Mrs. Jim Beacom, Tempe, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren; one brother, Allen; and one sister Ameilia Weiger.
