Everett R. (Shorty) Harmon, 68, of Clay City, died last evening at Clay County Hospital in Flora.

He was born in Jasper County Dec. 30, 1905.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah; two sons, George and Jimmie, and two daughters, Deloris and Brenda, all of Clay City; two grandchildren; and a half-sister, Mrs. Bertha Labounty of Decatur.

Services will be in the Clay City Chapel of the Cardascio-Easley Funeral Home, with burial in North Freedom Cemetery near Noble.
