Don Roscoe Lea, 82, who last lived at Rt.4 Bucyrus, died at 4:50 pm Saturday in Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay of a heart condition. He had been ill one week and was hospitalized one day.
Born Sept.15, 1877, in Adrian, Michigan, Mr. Lea was the son of Henry and Josephine Lea. He was married Sep 17, 1902, to Cora Alice Markley, who preceded him in death in 1955.
Surviving are a son, Ross, or Caledonia; ten daughters, Mrs. William Erwin of Bucyrus, Mrs. Marion Smalley of Grand Saline, Tex., Mrs. Russell Myers of Tiffin, Mrs. D.J. Mullholland of Bloomville, Mrs. Jessee Spayth of Findlay, Mrs. Cecil Wallace of Tallmadge, Mrs. Wendell Wertz of Bascom, Mrs. Richard McNary of Cuyahoga Falls and Mrs. Melvin Kiess and Mrs. Harold Shuman, both of Upper Sandusky, 34 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. One son and one sister are deceased.
Mr. Lea was a retired farmer. He farmed in Crawford County and was a charter member of the Lemert Grange. He joined the Masonic Order in Nevada in 1902.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at the Bringman and Company Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. H. Joe Grimm of Tiffin officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery and friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7-9 and Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9. Masonic services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening.
