Ward Culberson Pelham was born March 21, 1898 in Grapeland Texas. He was one of ten children born to John Mathias Pelham and Emma Penninah Caskey. Ward joined the Arm and was a veteran of WWII. After the death of his parents, Ward lived on and off with his brothers Ottis and Travis. Ward never married. He was dearly loved by all members of his family.
