Emma Lee Lamb

Emma Lee Lamb died suddenly Friday, March 4 at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital at the age of 63.

Born in Madera California, she came to Hollister 39 years ago. She was a graduate of Livingston High school in Livingston. She was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, Local 830 of Monterey. She also loved quilting, sewing and was an avid reader.

Emma worked for the K&S Cortpration for many years having first worked in the meat department in the market as a meat wrapper and then worked in the bakery before going to Arby's as manager. She returned back to the K&S market after Arby's was closed until K&S sold to Safeway. Emma had worked for Safeway as a checker for several years until her retirement in May of 2003.

She is the daughter of the late Alvin and Bonnie Lamb; sister of Barbara Bisceglia and her husband, Joe, of Tres Pinos, and Richard Lamb and his wife, Christina, of Hollister; aunt of Anthony Bisceglia, Tammie Bisceglia and Christie Lamb all of Hollister and Marcia Hill of Idaho. She is also survived by three great-grandnieces and three great-grandnephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday morning at 11am in the chapel of Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St., Hollister. Inurnment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Hollister. The officiant will be Rev. John Amelio of the Glad Tidings Church in San Juan Bautista. Cremation was by Grunnagle Ament Nelson Crematory in Hollister. Contributions are preferred to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Assn.
