Edward Lindsey Whittington, beloved husband, father and friend was born August 05, 1927 and left this earth to walk with our Lord April 09, 2010. He was a World War II veteran and served in both the Army and Navy. He was a master plumber with several businesses, retired and moved to Florida and had another career in security and private investigation.

He is survived by his wife and partner of 20 years, Katherine Beebe, along with his children, Robert, Mike, Linda (Mitch), Brad, Bill, Kathy (Tony), Cindy, and Mark (Sharon) as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, survived also by sisters, Elsie Ardoin, Pauline Gresham, Barbara Edwards, Donna Pilcher and husband Wayne and brother, Aldon and wife Carol.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen of 41 years and daughter, Patricia and brother, James Michael. We will miss him dearly. Donations may be made to Foundation Dept. Community Hospice of Northeast Florida 4266 Sunbeam Rd. Jacksonville, Fl 32257.

He will be laid to rest in Monroe, Louisiana, where he was born. Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, April 17, 2010, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 1321 North 7th Street, West Monroe, La. 71291. Interment will follow at Riverview City Cemetery, Monroe, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Frank Sellers.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 16, 2010, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
