Mother of Six, Claimed in Death Saturday Evening, Is Laid to Rest in Highland Cemetery
The W. M. Bracken home at 163 Elm street was saddened Saturday evening by the death of Mrs. Daisy Bracken, aged 40 years. The remains were laid to rest in Highland cemetery this morning, following services conducted from the late home of the deceased by Shaffer Gay.
Mrs. Bracken returned to her home in Casper last Thursday from Hot Springs, S. Dak. Her condition was extremely critical and two days later she succumbed to cancer, from which she had been unable to secure releif.
The deceased was born in Cool City, S. Dak., and was the wife of W. M. Bracken, an engineer on the Chicago & Northwestern. Her death is doubly sad, for in addition to numerous friends, she leaves to mourn her loss six children, the oldest of whom is a son of 15 years of age. One brother also survives Mrs. Bracken.
