Howard M. Davis, 66, of Clinton, died Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at his home.Mr. Davis was retired as a foreman after 33 years with Vinylex Corp. in Knoxville.

He was the son of Charles E. and Anna Belle Graham Davis, who are deceased. Mr. Davis was a member of Second Baptist Church of Clinton.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Slover Davis; two daughters, Glori Bright and her husband, Gordon, of Knoxville, and Lisa Champion and her husband, Terry, of Claxton; his son, Charles E. Davis and his wife, Mary, of Clinton; two grandchildren, Hannah Christine Champion and Noah Jacob Davis; his brother, James L. Davis and his wife, Blanche, of Clinton; and by several nieces and nephews.Another son, Stephen Davis, and a granddaughter, Rachael Rhyne, died earlier.

The funeral will be held at 8:30 tonight, May 14, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Chris Knight officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at Zion Cemetery in Claxton. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
