Edith Rogers Million

MESQUITE, Texas — Edith O. Million, 93, of Mesquite, formerly of Monticello, died April 12, 2010, at Royse City Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Royse City, Texas.

She was born Aug. 23, 1916, in Rockport, Ind., the daughter of George and Maude Mackey (Melton) Allgood. She married Perry P. Million on Jan. 10, 1959, in Alexandria, Ind.

She was a member of the former Calvary Baptist Church and currently a member of Zion Bethel Church. She was a member of the Jefferson Township Home Economics Club. She lived on a farm in Jefferson Township located in Carroll County from 1959 until moving to Monticello in 1982. She moved to Texas in 1996 and resided at the Christian Care Center in Mesquite, Texas.

She was preceded in death by husband; parents; and granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello, Ind.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Messer of Zion Bethel Church officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, rural Monticello.

Memorials may be given to Zion Bethel Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
